~Premise~

It's the end of the world as we know it! And things have gone just a little bit off the rails.

For one, the supernatural which has, up til recently been content or at least inclined to remain hidden, decided not to go that route anymore. Instead, they started making themselves public. The world at large started changing, both in those ways linked to the supernatural as well as socially, on levels from the deeply personal to the national to the global. Someone hit the spin cycle on the world, and it's gotten itself fairly mixed up by now.

Here's where it's gotten a bit more wacky. Whilst everything started on a firm slid down towards hell, there are some places around the world which have been simply been excised from the rest of it. So while they started out a part of the rest of the world? They aren't so much anymore. They’re cut off, isolated. It started getting harder and harder to leave, with loops that would flat out disappear a person who walked a bit too far from the beaten path, or, say, started to drive out of town. Sometimes people were just spat back out someplace else in their town, with no warning or preamble. Other times they just stayed gone. No one is sure how this works, no one is sure how to fix it, just that it's there, now, and there to stay. A lot of people liken it to living in a snow globe. Everything's fine on the inside, except for that glass wall around it, and every once in a while, someone picks it up and shakes it to make shit fall from the sky. Generally speaking, people find it far less fun than it sounds.

Then, just because that wasn't weird enough, doors started appearing. Just random doors that weren't ever there before, started popping up in these cut off locations. They lead, ultimately, to the other snowglobe towns. Cities, towns, random uninhabited locations, a famous hotel...who knows how many they are, or how many will wind up in this network of sealed off places. And what happens when that seal breaks?
